Savoury and enjoyable breakfast with the best option and poached egg, as example, reasonably priced. Good facilities in general, unbeatable location in a quiet area yet a stone's throw from Oxford street...

The location was good, and the room comfortable.
We were given the room which was based on reception. The hotel staff were very noisy early in the morning, especially Sunday morning. Lots of mobile phones ringing, lots of clattering and chattering.

Our favourite, hip new hotel in London with especially helpful staff. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay for seven nights.
No elevator.

We were transfered a few hours before our check in to Shaftesbury Padding Court, London and although the rooms were very small they were very clean and comfortable.
The rooms were very very small.

The location was excellent making different places very accessible for shopping, eating, sight-seeing and commuting.
I had booked a single room and was initially dissappointed that all single rooms were in the basement and that I would not have a view. However, after being showed the other rooms on the First floor, I realized that the only view possible was that of other buildings and if I really wanted a view, I should have booked near the Thames. Overall, I really liked the duration of my stay there because of friendly staff.

Lovely little venue, magnificent location short walk to central London, restaurants of various international cuisines, such as Italian, Indian, and Thai and the tube station and bus station, truly enjoyed our stay. The staff and people generally were especially helpful. The team provided a very good service.
Views were awful.

My room was extremely comfortable with elegant decor which extended into the en-suite shower room. The wall-mounted tv added to the pleasure of staying there. Oh and the big squishy duvet was lovely!
I was staying there in order to participate in the Moonwalk over night. this is a marathon (26.2miles) power walk and when I finished it my feet were sore and my legs began to stiffen up immediately. Climbing up 3 floors to get to the room on my return was really hard going - at that moment I would have appreciated a lift!

The location of the Montcalm is fantastic, right near Hyde Park. Upon checking in, the room surprised me. It was spacious with comfy beds and a lovely view. The shower was dreamy, which I appreciated after a long day. Breakfast at the nearby sister hotel was a highlight, tasty with friendly staff. There were some downsides. The stairs were steep and many. The air conditioning unit was noisy, which disrupted my sleep. I noticed some upkeep issues in the common areas that need addressing. The service at times felt a bit disorganized, especially during check-in. A pleasant stay but improvements are needed for the price.

The furniture was new and stylish, hotel location was amazing, rooms were isolated so I could have a great sleeptime, free wired broadband was very useful with excellent speed.
Lights were not working properly but they fixed some of it as soon as we have complained, small rooms with little of space, no restaurant and no gym although it is 4 stars and money paid was relatively significant

The Beautiful Double Room offers an updated bathroom with decent amenities. Proximity to famous attractions like Hyde Park and Oxford Street impresses, allowing easy exploration without the hassle of transport.
The shower door is a tight squeeze, which might not accommodate everyone comfortably, particularly plus-size guests.

The hotel was presented as having "luxerious suites". I booked a de-luxe executive suite and found myself in a room where you could not stand next to your bed if you were using shoe size 7 or above. It was noisy and the garbage smell from the court yard entered with the ventilation. They had taken out the fuse for the air-con to save electricity, and as I remarked this they pleased me with a 10 centigrade roomtemperature the day after. The staff was so aware of the con that they were actually laughing as I went into the room surely only having bets on how fast I would come back to complain. I am sure that the only positive feed-back on this hotel come from those that the staff has been asked to make in the late hours. The reception looked like a bed and breakfast, and check in was in the, supposedly 5-star Marble Arch up the road. (How do they get 5-stars without any facilities?). All facilities were then in the Montcalm further up the road. Not really 5-star to run down 150m down Cumberland in your bathgown after a sauna visit. The first day they promised to move me to a better room the next day, but this was forgotten by the time I got back next day. A classical misrepresentation abusing internet booking systems.
